Mom and child are doing well, Ukkie starts to make her movements known to Lisa. SOmetimes thay feel like tickling. We saw him/her tapping the foot against the side of the little space he/she has. Great to see that there might be a new generation of percussionists on the way...

we had BJ (Doulos friend) visit us here in UK. as her bag got stolen from the bus, we spend all our time shopping. we than whent in the car to Switzerland. so much fun. England-France-Belgium-Luxemburg and then Switserland.... 18 hours drive...sooo long...

But it was so vey worth it. we met some old doulos friend who we could catch up with, but above all seeing Sam and Sarina and experiencing with them their marriage day was so special! here some pictures

sorry guys, I have failed to update the blog for quite a while.
we had 6 new student joining us on the 19th of Mai. really cool group! Paul and me had to run the whole trainingweek because the others were not available. we worked soooo hard and were so tired at the end. but we did it, By the grace of God!
to make the new teams we had so much struggle. it ended with having a girlsteam in Monmouth, the team in Wales. as I am the only girl in the team available now, I needed to let go of supervising the Semthwick team and now supervising the Monmouth team. a very emotional (I was so tired) decision.... But the girls in Monmouth are great!

Orangeday!!! (Koninginnendag)

Hi ya'll
we had a very early start on 30th of April queens day!
at 7:00 o'clock Elly Stoffels (Lisa's friend from Ede), Stefan and Lisa put out all stuff we got from Lisa's mum to sell on some sheets on the floor. we sold a lot, screamed a lot (especially Stefan) to sell more, painted a lot of hair orange and flags on faces.... all for money of course! we made some and Lisa's mum has a nice project for it already....hahaha
We came home exhausted around 15:00...watched the movie Transformers...great movie!!!, packed cause leaving back home next morning early and to bed we went....

(just little geocashing story: we found a cash under a bridge of a canal. to get there we need to hire a water bike. hmm...very expensive.... we tried to get an half hour price, but the hour price was fixed on 7 euros pp...aahhh.... we told the guy about geocashing, that there was one hidden under a bridge, bla bla...he had never heard about it.... funny enough then he gave us the water bike for free. here a nice Amsterdam scene taken from the bike whilst we were paddling away....)

Well guys we have had some very busy times here in Holland...pffff..... Now I have some time to update the Blog, so here the story comes:

We arrived on Wed. and were surprised to be picked up by Lisa's mom, sister and 3 friends from Portugal who were catching a plane later that day...It was so nice to see them!

That evening Lisa's fam. came to celebrate her birthday. On thursday Lisa's sister Judith drove us to Ede (very nice!) and we settled in the house of a friend from church who is on vacation. some visits (at one place a little boy fell on his had, poor him, but it was very funny), some last minute shopping, meeting with support commitee and Stefan broke his glasses. Friday morning, getting new glasses for Stefan, lunch at Mattheo (thanks!) and Pim an Lysbeth wedding....late....

Sat: Lisa sick, could not open her eyes, slept the whole day and pain in throught, Stefan whent to pick up his new glasses. Jaap and Nina came by in evening....(stefan finishes presentation til late)

Sund: Lisa better so we go for it again - presentation in church...talked way to long, but got good feedback! :) in Martha's car (thanks) to Limburg. We admired little newborn Havenaar and visited stefan parents and his grandmother.

Now, monday.... sleep in... dissapointed that it rains. we wanted to stay here another day before going to Amsterdam to enjoy the garden...maybe we change and go today to Amsterdam...

We had loads of guests, thanks ya’ll for coming…. It was so cool!!!

Today we just finished cleaning up after the next 15 or more people from the cell group of our church. We finally met for a meal. It was great…

Hi y’all

We are back home after lots and lots of driving (Lisa enjoys driving the big vans so muchJ)

We found our sweet cat Snoekie happy that we are back.

This morning we were still in Glasgow and had to say goodbye to the American students group. So hard, they were awesome. We enjoyed the ‘hanging out’; games; prep for schools; shopping and loads of conversations so much.

We were told by one of the group that they had been talking amongst themselves and that they wanted to have a marriage like ours late…. That is so cool to hear. Praise to God as we know that we have lots of people standing behind our ministry and marriage in prayer!

After we had unpacked and so on we had a nice peel of face mask…check out the picture, so at least our facial skins are revived, hahaha I better go to bed soon…..

Tomorrow we have a day off. We will finish our newsletter and do some chores, but first of all….. Sleeping in big time!!!!

Hey y’all,

We are having a good time in Scotland (it is so beautiful… maybe God has a calling for me here???? J); we have been to many schools, great responses, deep questions. Good kids lessons with again great responses.

The American group is lots of fun, hard to get to bed sometimes but really cool. We have been to loch Ness, hmm even on the pebbles thrown in the water nothing came up…. Sad we could have gotten 2 million pounds sterling for a picture of Nessie….

Tonight we have a prayer night from OM whilst half of the team is flyering for this grand youth event tomorrow night. Oh I nearly forgot to mention, I went to the hair dressers, so cool, quite modern, need to get used to it though.

Hi all,
Just to let you know that during the time running up to easter Stefan has indipendently lead his first short term mission. This was a exciting time where espescialy the team did grow closer to God...
1 teammember gave her life again to Christ during a teaching session from Lisa. Really exctiting to see her afterward beaming of joy and just full of power sharing what God had done in her life...

Then we had Ricardo here as you can read and also he made a re-comitment to Christ and has been talking to many people and is really excited about God. He also needs some prayer as back home his friends don't understand what is happening...

God is good...
We're leaving to go to Inverness tomorrow, Friday April 4th, and are excited to see what God will be doing there...

Over the last week Lisa has started a friendship with a lady called A. from our town. Lisa is encouraging her in her life to change things for the good. Hi...
After a journy that lasted for 14,5 hours. I arrived safely in Mosbach and was able to go to bed not to much later.
This morning I had breakfast with Lisa's ant and uncle (Bert and Jenny de Ruiter) and with Daniel from OM Sweden. It was great to see them and talk to them about what is happening in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) and Sweden.
Today many more people will arrive and we will have a great time of fellowship...
Pray that we will learn more from eachother of what God is doing in Europe...

Dear all,
Today was the funeral churhcservice from WIm van der Berg, the pastor from Stefan's church. The service was attended by between 700 and 850 people. It was very impressive to see so many people and to listen to many testimonies of how Wim has impacted the different lives of these people. The Royal Rangers were very much involved in this service as Wim himself was a very passionated Royal Ranger s (Dutch).
God Used this man in a ighty way even though he himself mentioned not long ago in a interview with a newspaper that his role in everything was very litle.

A great man of God.

For the people that don't know us... This is us about a year and a half ago during a programme for pastor's and their wives. The churches could give a evening out with dinner to their pastors. We hosted them at the table...

Pastor Wim van der Berg is with the Lord

Wim van der Berg was pastoring the church where I grew up as a child until we got married and lived in Ede. He was and is a great accample to me and many others. The funaral will be on Saturday the 27th of October at 2 pm. I will attend the funaral and therefore will fly to the Netherlands on the 26th of October. If you would like to see what an impact this man has made on the people around him, have a look at the condolance register (most of this is in Dutch)

Please pray for a good time in the Netherlands with friends and family during this time of griefing of a los on this planet of a great man of God.
